Based in Montreal, Xavier Guillard joined Canec in 2007 to spearhead Canec’s successful Quebec practice. Given his extensive corporate and investment banking experience, Xavier has strong expertise in M&A and financing, both in Europe and North America and on a transatlantic basis. He has particular sector experience in aerospace, telecom, media and communications, animal health, electronic manufacturing services, plastic packaging, transportation and the environmental industry. Prior to joining Canec, Xavier worked for over 25 years both in Canada and Europe in the corporate and investment banking sector with UBS and National Bank Financial, and as a transatlantic M&A consultant. Xavier has a Master of Science in Finance from CSUN in California, and is a graduate of ESCAE Clermont Ferrand, a French business school.
