Sachin leads the Investment Banking and Advisory business in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) region. He has more than a decade of experience advising leading companies on numerous cross border M&A and restructuring transactions, including refinancings involving Essar Steel Algoma, Yellow Media recapitalization (C$2.7 billion), OPTI sale to CNOOC (US$2.1 billion), recapitalization of Abitibi-Bowater (US$4 billion), recapitalization of Tembec (US$1.2 billion) and the sale of Kraft Canada Assets to Sun Capital. Since joining the firm in 2005, Sachin has been actively involved with the firm’s cross border M&A activity between Canada and the Indian subcontinent and Middle East. Sachin received a Masters of Business Administration from Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He received his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Delhi University and attended law school at the same university.
