Thad Davis Bio

Thad is a Managing Director and leads coverage of Healthcare Technology and Services. Thad is responsible for client coverage across healthcare technology including revenue cycle, payor and employer services, interoperability, analytics, and digital health. He is also the Head of Healthcare Private Placements, encompassing Cain’s activity in minority stake sales, growth equity placement, and venture capital financings. Thad has more than 20 years of experience advising private and public clients on their strategic and capital priorities. Thad joined the firm in 2024 from Leerink, where he served as a Senior Managing Director. Prior to Leerink, Thad was a Managing Director at HSBC and Jefferies within their respective global healthcare teams. Thad was also a Manager of Strategy at Caremark. Thad earned his Bachelor of Science in management from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Thad is also an active adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota.
