Kathy Kirchhoff is a senior banker in the Firm’s Post-Acute Care practice. Ms. Kirchhoff joined Cain Brothers in 2007 and has more than 35 years’ experience helping clients with capital funding, financial planning, feasibility analysis, and strategic planning. For nearly 25 years, her work has been focused on the healthcare industry, with specific attention on the senior living sector and she has participated in more than $5 billion in capital transactions. Ms. Kirchhoff’s notable transactions include 13 financings totaling more than $1 billion for Pacific Retirement Services and its affiliates since 2008, the design and implementation of an overall capital strategy for Front Porch Communities and Services, including four FHA refinancings totaling $118 million and $72 million tax-exempt bank construction funding, the divestiture of its senior living portfolio for Lutheran Social Services of the South and numerous financings and capital transactions for other senior living entities. Ms. Kirchhoff is a member of the Firm’s President’s Advisory Council. Ms. Kirchhoff was appointed to the State of California’s Continuing Care Advisory Committee by Governor Schwarzenegger in 2007 and has served on the Leading Age California Finance Committee since 1997. She has served on the several Board of Directors, including Hollenbeck Palms, California-Nevada Methodist Homes, Partners in Care Foundation and Leadership Tomorrow – Newport Beach. Before joining Cain Brothers, Ms. Kirchhoff was at Herbert J. Sims & Co. as Senior Vice President and manager of the Western Regional Office. Prior to joining Sims, Ms. Kirchhoff spent 15 years at KPMG, LLP, where she was Western Area Director for the National Senior Care Services Consulting Practice. Ms. Kirchhoff earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting from California State University Fullerton and a Masters of Business Taxation Degree from Golden Gate University. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
