Luis Camarena Bio

Mr. Camarena is a Managing Director with BroadSpan and the Head of the firm’s Mexico operations. Prior to joining BroadSpan, Mr. Camarena was Head of Investment Banking at Alantra, a global boutique investment bank based out of Europe. He has 23+ years working in Investment Banking (“IB”) at JPMorgan, Lehman Brothers, Rothschild, and Alantra. Prior to Alantra, Mr. Camarena was a Director at Rothschild leading multiple M&A and Restructuring projects for 8 years, and prior to that he worked as a Vice President at Lehman Brothers on the M&A team in Mexico and New York. Mr. Camarena started in JPMorgan´s IB group in New York and then Monterrey, Mexico. Mr. Camarena had worked on over 100 transactions in different industries and IB products including: (i) M&A, (ii) Equity Capital Markets, (iii) Debt Capital Markets, (iv) Loan Syndications, (v) Debt Restructurings and (vi) Derivatives. He obtained his BS in Economics and Business Administration from ITAM in Mexico City.
