Robert Fine Bio

Mr. Robert Fine is the Chief Executive Officer of Brean Capital and a substantial investor in the Firm. Previously, Mr. Fine was Executive Managing Director and Head of Mortgage Backed Securities/Asset Backed Securities & Rates at Gleacher & Company and its predecessor firm, Broadpoint. Before Gleacher, Mr. Fine founded Descap Securities, Inc., which he sold to Gleacher (First Albany) in 2004. Prior to founding Descap, Mr. Fine worked at Garvin Guy Butler in mortgage backed trading. He began his career at Smith Barney and Kidder, Peabody & Co. Mr. Fine received a BA in Economics and Finance from Adelphi University. He holds Series 7, 24, 52, 63, 73, 79 and 99 licenses.
