Bio

Jennifer Barker is Global Head of BNY’s market-leading Treasury Services business, which provides domestic and cross-border payments, US dollar clearing, trade finance and cash management capabilities to clients across the globe. She also oversees Depositary Receipts, which provides services to the global capital markets, delivering customized and market-driven solutions for issuers, brokers, and investors. Jennifer is a member of the BNY Executive Committee. She is a treasury services veteran, with more than two decades of client-focused experience and a comprehensive understanding of the treasury ecosystem. Prior to joining BNY, Jennifer spent 19 years with JP Morgan and held a wide variety of global Treasury Services roles across the Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking businesses, both in the U.S. and Asia. Jennifer is an established client-focused leader with expertise in digital initiatives and developing innovative payment solutions rooted in simplicity, efficiency, and speed. Prior to JP Morgan, Jennifer spent five years with Accenture. She is a self-declared “pay-it-forward” person and strongly believes in the importance of mentorship and sponsorship when it comes to the development and leadership of younger generations. Jennifer has co-sponsored several culture initiatives particularly focused on the development and advancement of women in finance. Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where she completed her MBA, and holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Public Relations from James Madison University. She lives in Dallas, Texas. She is a member of The Dallas Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Women’s Roundtable and a member of the Ross School of Business Advisory Board. She is a board member of Physicians for Peace.
