As a Partner at Bluestone, Mike Ivey brings 19 years of private equity investing, investment banking, corporate finance, and operations experience in the defense and government services industry. As a Senior Vice President at a boutique investment bank focused on defense and government services he directed a number of high-profile mergers and acquisitions for both publicly traded and private-equity backed platforms in the government sector. Additionally, he has helped multiple clients optimize their capital structure to enhance equity value. Prior to his investment banking role, Mike was Vice President of Finance for NetStar-1, Inc., a portfolio company of Lake Capital. In this role, he oversaw most of the company’s corporate financial matters including strategic planning, financial reporting, and M&A, including financial due diligence and integration activities. Mike played a significant role in the acquisition and integration of a $75 million acquisition in April 2008 and the divestiture of NetStar-1’s IT Services division in October 2010. Prior to NetStar-1, Mike served as the Vice President of Finance for Anteon International Corporation (NYSE: ANT), a $1.5 billion government services provider. In this position, he was responsible for all financial activities for a $450 million strategic business unit. His duties included directing the business unit’s strategic planning, risk management, and financial statements and reporting. Prior to this role, Mike directed Anteon’s corporate Financial Planning and Analysis department. He was a key member of Anteon’s M&A team which completed a series of acquisitions from 2000 through 2005 in addition to completing an IPO in 2002 and subsequent secondary offering in 2003. Mike has an M.B.A. with an emphasis in corporate finance and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech.
