Grant Hamilton is a Managing Director of BlackArch. He has more than 15 years of experience in the banking industry including over a decade advising on mergers and acquisitions in the middle market with a particular focus on building products and diversified industrials sectors. He has advised more than thirty middle-market businesses during his investment banking career. Mr. Hamilton is head of BlackArch’s Building Products industry practice. He also has diverse transaction experience in Industrial Growth & Diversified Manufacturing; Distribution & Supply Chain Management; Transportation & Logistics; Consumer & Retail; and Business & Professional Services. Prior to joining BlackArch, Mr. Hamilton was co-head of the Building Products & Construction practice for Piper Jaffray, a global full-service investment bank, within the Diversified Industrials & Services group. Mr. Hamilton started his investment banking career with Edgeview Partners, a leading middle-market investment bank based in Charlotte, where he worked with many of BlackArch’s senior bankers. Piper Jaffray acquired Edgeview Partners in 2013. Prior to Piper Jaffray, Mr. Hamilton was an associate with Bank One Capital Markets and assistant vice president with Bank One’s commercial banking department where he primarily worked with middle-market industrial businesses. Mr. Hamilton earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Miami University where he earned the Mary Sheehan International Scholarship. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
