Gene Bowles is a Managing Director of BlackArch, which he joined in 2024 after leading the Corporate Finance and Sponsor Coverage groups at Regions Securities. Mr. Bowles has more than 25 years of broad investment banking and capital markets transaction experience in areas such as M&A, leveraged finance, public equity offerings, strategic alternatives advisory and private equity/mezzanine finance. Prior to joining Regions Securities, Mr. Bowles was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Group at Cary Street Partners, where he advised middle market companies on M&A and capital raising transactions across a wide range of industries. Prior to Cary Street, he was a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors Group at Wachovia/Wells Fargo Securities where he managed the firm’s investment banking relationships with leading middle market private equity groups. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bowles was a founding member of Wachovia’s High Yield Capital Markets Group and a Director in the firm’s Leveraged Capital Group, which provided “one-stop” bank and mezzanine capital for middle market private equity transactions. Mr. Bowles earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and an Master's of Business Administration from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.
