Matt joined Beltrae Partners in September 2021. In 2010 during his MBA (Distinction, 1st in Class and International Strategy Award) at Ulster University Matt moved to London where he worked as a structured finance derivatives trader with RBS Markets. Matt returned to Belfast in 2014 where he has worked in Corporate Finance, with experience of both ‘Big 4’and smaller boutique firms. Matt has specialised in Corporate Finance, working in both Mergers & Acquisitions and Debt and Capital Advisory teams, since 2014. Matt has experience of working with Private Equity and was responsible for the Renatus Capital (a Dublin based Private Equity firm) investment in Boojum in 2015, BGF investment in Bob & Bert’s in 2017 and worked on a number of large Private Equity Investments during his time with Deloitte. Matt has structured debt and equity solutions for Property Developers across the UK & Ireland and has experience of working with both senior banks and alternative debt providers. Matt has also worked on large Real Estate and Renewable Infrastructure Projects. Matt was integral to the successful Management Buy-out of CM Marketing in 2020 and he continues to support a number of high growth businesses.
