Andrew Hunter worked in London as a management consultant for Touche Ross. He joined Bankers Trust where he developed and managed Operations and Technology support for Bankers Trust’s capital markets and trading businesses in their six European offices. His more than 20 years’ experience in the US includes product management of the Bankers Trust retirement business and private bank. He ran the personal trust and portfolio advisory business at Fidelity and subsequently served as COO of State Street’s Middle Office Outsourcing business in the US. Since joining Barrington Partners in 2003 his numerous projects have centered on operational effectiveness and business opportunity, more specifically the evaluation of process, technology, and organizational effectiveness of Front and Middle Office operational, data and technology groups. He has been engaged in many Middle Office outsourcing selection projects that have included inhouse vs. outsource vs. component evaluations and second-generation selection. He has assisted these projects through the contract stage and subsequently the oversight of implementation. A key project was representing Dimensional Fund Advisors in the outsourcing of their Middle Office to Citi. Andrew is responsible for the Middle Office Forum and has published research reports on topics including data management, operations risk and vendor selection criteria. He has conducted targeted client and prospect research for several projects to create product development and market entry plans for technology and outsourcing vendors. Mr. Hunter is a graduate of London University and Imperial College, London.
