Steve Roark is a tax director with Baker Tilly. Steve specializes in research tax credits. With more than 25 years of experience, Steve works with a variety of technology companies in the areas of engineering, software, manufacturing, electronics, life sciences, metals, plastics, systems other technology-based fields. Steve helps clients identify qualified activities and apply cost accounting techniques to support and quantify substantial federal and state research tax credit savings. Steve also has extensive experience advising on cost segregation studies used in the real estate industry to accelerate tax savings and the time value of money. Should an IRS or state controversy arise, Steve and his team can help clients resolve those tax positions taken in the most favorable manner possible.
