Bio

Michelle is a director with Baker Tilly’s energy transition services practice. She has more than 15 years of experience in the energy sector. Her career has focused on analysis and strategy around the nexus of business strategy, technology and regulatory policy. Michelle helps clients work through challenges balancing resilience, decarbonization and cost in energy portfolio development. Her work helps clients across commercial, industrial and state, local and federal governments tackle sustainable strategy development across operations, energy consumption and procurement and supply chains. She is a leader in critical energy issues and systems including renewables, distributed energy resources, microgrids, hydrogen and their interplay with energy economics, federal and state policy and regulations and business. Michelle has considerable experience helping clients understand the pros and cons of grant funding and application processes and has authored/coauthored grant applications at the state, local and federal levels. In addition, she is also highly experienced in project and portfolio development having stood up public-private partnerships (PPP) and multi-entity consortia to meet high-impact, challenging goals.
