Joe Shusko is a principal with Baker Tilly's cybersecurity practice, based in its significantly expanding Chicago market. He has more than 20 years of team building and decision-making experience with a demonstrated record of reputable performance. As demonstrated throughout his career as a U.S. Marine infantry officer and cybersecurity and information technology specialist, he helps clients evaluate and mitigate their key information technology (IT) compliance risks. Joe currently leads Baker Tilly’s IT risk practice for the Midwest region and concentrates his efforts on the assessment of IT systems, risk and controls over key information systems. Throughout his career, Joe has been responsible for leading teams in the review assessment of general computer controls in support of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance as well as assisting in the implementation of financial and operational systems ensuring appropriate operational and IT governance is maintained. He has also served as the IT SOX audit quality leader for the previous five years.
