Jim Smolinski is a principal with Baker Tilly, is a member of the Baker Tilly leadership team, and oversees the assurance professional practice group (PPG). The PPG executes the firm’s quality control system, implementing professional standards, training and developing professional staff and providing the policies, procedures, tools and templates for all assurance service line professionals. The PPG also provides regulatory oversight, handles matters related to independence and ethics, and is responsible for internal and external monitoring, peer review and the annual PCAOB inspection.
