Gregg Byers Bio

Gregg Byers is a Managing Director and Head of Baird’s Global Energy Investment Banking Group based in Houston. Prior to joining Baird in 2018, Gregg was the Co-Head of the Houston office at PwC Corporate Finance and led the firm’s Energy Services Investment Banking practice. He also served as the head of North American Oilfield Services Investment Banking Coverage and M&A at J.P. Morgan. During his Investment Banking tenure he has executed over $25 billion of M&A transactions and a further $30 billion of equity and debt capital raising transactions for middle market and large-cap clients across various segments within the Energy Services, Equipment & Technology and Diversified Industrials sectors. Gregg received a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Lawrence University and an MBA in finance, accounting and international business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business
