Bio

Brian McDonagh is Co-Head of Baird Global Investment Banking, Co-Head of Baird’s Global M&A effort and a member of Baird’s Executive Committee. In his M&A role, Brian works across all of Baird's industry groups to provide expert senior tactical and process strategy advice on the firm's most important advisory transactions. Additionally, Brian plays a senior banker role with many of Baird Global Investment Banking’s key consumer and industrial clients. Brian has over 35 years of experience in the global M&A market, through which he has developed extensive experience in originating and executing a broad range of advisory transactions for publicly traded, sponsor-owned and privately-owned companies across a wide variety of industries including consumer, industrial, healthcare, business services, energy and technology. Prior to joining Baird in 2008, Brian was a founder of the Global M&A effort at Wells Fargo Securities in Charlotte, where he played an advisory leadership role for nearly 15 years and served as Chairman of the firm’s Fairness Committee. Early in his career Brian was based in New York for over a decade as part of the Global M&A effort at JPMorgan Chase, working on a broad set of advisory transactions across a variety of industry segments throughout the world. Brian received a bachelor’s degree from Haverford College. Brian is the Founder and Chairman of the Beyond Our Gates Foundation of Kiawah & Seabrook, where he devotes significant time to helping to empower and improve the lives of the less economically advantaged communities across the Charleston Sea Islands.
