Tim Scallen joined Bailey Southwell in 2020 as a Partner to head the firms principal investing effort. He has over 11 years of experience investing and transacting across a range of asset classes spanning traditional late stage leveraged buyouts to earlier stage growth equity. Throughout his career, Scallen has worked directly with management teams as both a Board member and investor, leading transactions and managing portfolio investments from inception to exit. While he brings considerable depth and expertise within the healthcare technology and tech-enabled services market segments, Scallen has worked on a broad set of M&A transactions, including leading equity and debt capital raises, actively partnering with portfolio company management teams as an investor, board member and advisor, as well as sourcing new investment opportunities across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Bailey Southwell, Tim has worked at several leading private equity firms, and was most recently a principal at Triple Tree’s TT Capital Partners. Prior to his time at TT Capital Partners, Scallen worked at Norwest Equity Partners, where he focused on management buyouts, recapitalizations, and growth investments across a variety of industries including healthcare, consumer, industrials, and business services. Scallen began his career working on the middle-market private lending team at Sankaty Advisors (the credit affiliate of Bain Capital now known as Bain Capital Credit) in both Boston and Chicago. He holds a B.B.A. (summa cum laude) from the University of Notre Dame.
