Jeff Compton is Director of New Business Development at Backbone Capital Advisors, working on originations and capital markets advisory services to businesses in the lower/middle-market. An experienced entrepreneur with a track record of more than 3 decades leading operating businesses and advising business owners on growth strategy (organic and inorganic), capital structure, and strategic exit options. Prior to Backbone, Mr. Compton was CEO for two private equity sponsored investments: Blue Casa Telephone, a competitive telephone and internet provider in California; and TNCI, a telecommunications provider to SME, and wholesale markets throughout the US. Mr. Compton also held C-level positions in technology, finance, and hospitality industries which provided an experience tested knowledge base to assist enterprises in M&A, restructures and exit strategies with execution. Mr. Compton holds a B.A. in Business Administration from University of Phoenix. Mr. Compton was a co-founder and President of the Norco Regional Conservancy, a 501.c.3 for its first 5 years working to preserve the Lake Norconian Hotel and open space in and around Norco, California.
