Barry serves Aurum as a Managing Director based in Durham, NC. Barry has more than 30 years of experience as an investment banker, valuation consultant, and entrepreneur. In addition to his role at Aurum, he is a partner of CapVal-American Business Appraisers, LLC, which provides valuation services to clients in technology, business and industrial services, and other sectors. He was the founder of The Cobble Hill Group LLC, which provided research-driven, acquisition search services to middle market companies and private equity groups. He also co-founded American Home Centers Corporation, a private equity backed roll-up of manufactured home dealerships. Barry started his career as an investment banker at Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. (now UBS), working in the firm’s New York, Tokyo and London offices. Barry earned a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the American Society of Appraisers and holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) credential from the Exit Planning Institute. Barry currently holds Series 7, 63, and 79 securities registrations.
