Simon Bullivant Bio

Specialising in advice to owner entrepreneurs, Simon has been involved in transactions at every stage of the life cycle, from raising venture capital finance to hundred million pound sales of businesses. Transactions for which he has been responsible include the sales of Sqills (the enterprise software business in rail), Loaf (the sofa retailer) Soho House to Ron Burkle, and multiple transactions for the Virgin group. Significant primary fund raises have also been carried out for The Thinking Traveller, Mous and a host of other exciting buinesses. Simon also sits on the board of certain client companies to which ongoing advice is given, including Jellycat, Mous and Sifted. Simon was a founding shareholder of New Boathouse Capital, a business he started with other colleagues in 2000. New Boathouse was sold to Quayle Munro in 2007 where he was a managing director until he founded Ashcombe in 2010. Simon originally trained as a corporate lawyer at Macfarlanes, specialising in corporate transactions focused on private equity. He is a history graduate with a degree from Oxford University.
