Jurgis is the managing partner and founder of IMAP Southeast Europe. Also, in 2014, Jurgis was elected president of IMAP, Inc. and has been leading it successfully ever since. In addition, Jurgis is the chairman of the investment committee of the investment fund Invera Private Equity Partners. He began his career at Ebasco Services Incorporated, one of the largest engineering firms in the US specializing in power generation and infrastructure projects, where he spent 15 years as Vice President of Business Development for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Jurgis then focused on entrepreneurship and thus gained another 15 years of experience developing business opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe, before founding the company Ascendant Capital Advisors (today IMAP SEE) in 2003. Jurgis received his MBA degree in Finance and International Business from New York University's Stern School of Business. Prior to that, Jurgis successfully completed a master's degree in Nuclear Engineering at the Fu School of Engineering at Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at Manhattan College.
