Sandy Prabhakar has over 20 years of experience advising clients across a variety of industries on M&A activities, capital raising, refinancing, restructuring and crisis management. As an investment banker, Sandy successfully closed transactions for private middle market clients along with large international public companies and government agencies. He has represented both private and public clients in negotiating placements of debt and equity, raising private equity, and fulfilling both sell-side and buy-side M&A mandates, in situations both out-of-court and under court supervision. Sandy helps his clients assess their strategic alternatives and provides interim management services to assist companies through periods of fundamental change and has advised on numerous engagements where he drove initiatives to improve financial performance. Prior to joining Armory, Sandy served as a Director in the Investment Bank of KPMG with a focus on Special Situations (distressed) M&A and cross-border transactions. Before that, he was a Senior Vice President in Deloitte’s Restructuring practice and previously held senior roles at GE Commercial Finance, Heller Financial, and GE Capital Canada. Sandy graduated from the Asper School of Business, Faculty of Management, University of Manitoba (Canada), where he received a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance, and he is also a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Sandy is also a FINRA licensed Investment Banking and Corporate Securities Representative (Series 79 and 62) and Securities Agent (Series 63).
