Mr. Gordy is a Managing Director at Angle Advisors and has over 25 years of investment banking experience including sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory, as well as capital raising and restructuring transactions. With over 125 completed transactions throughout his career, Mr. Gordy has experience in the vehicular, paper, building products, capital equipment, mining, logistics and several other industries. Mr. Gordy’s transactions have primarily focused on the sale of privately-held middle-market businesses, including both healthy and highly distressed companies that required difficult and complex restructurings and sale processes. Prior to joining Angle Advisors, Mr. Gordy was Managing Director at Variant Capital Advisors where he founded and led the firm’s M&A, capital raise and restructuring practice. Previously, Mr. Gordy was Managing Director at Banc One Capital Markets, Inc. and its predecessor, First Chicago Capital Markets, Inc. At Banc One Capital Markets, Mr. Gordy was responsible for originating, structuring, managing and executing public and private debt financings, including high yield and investment grade securities and private placements of senior debt and mezzanine capital. Mr. Gordy received his Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor degree from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Turnaround Management Association.
