Lee Black has been engaged in private law practice in New York City for over thirty years, having started his career at Carter, Ledyard & Milburn. He formed the law firm of Black & Associates in January, 2002. From 1986 until December, 2001, he was a member of the law firm of DeForest & Duer, as Chairman of its Corporate Department. He also serves as general counsel to other business enterprises. Mr. Black served as Vice Chairman of MacMillan Ring-Free Oil Co., Inc., a publicly traded oil and gas company, in 1986 and 1987 and was a member of the Board of Directors of Vault.com Inc., a career-oriented Internet and publishing company, from 1999 until October 2007. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of United Compressor, LLC, a company engaged in the installation and maintenance of compressed natural gas stations and a member of the Board of Directors of the Cleveland E. Dodge Foundation, a private charitable foundation. Mr. Black received his BA in 1968, his law degree in 1971, and his Master of Laws in Taxation degree in 1979, all from New York University.
