Dale’s background includes 30 years of business experience in China, including extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, both as an advisor and principal. Among other things, Dale was a founder and served as Chairman of HuaMei Telecommunications Company, a Sino-US joint venture with the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, the top level Committee of Science and Industry for National Defense (COSTIND), which installed the first full service broad band network in the world in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province of China. Dale has excellent connections with senior China officials and extensive experience in the major commercial geographical areas in China. Prior to 1988, he was a partner at the international law firm Mayer Brown (formerly Mayer, Brown & Platt) specializing in business law, mergers and acquisitions, and international transactions. Dale holds a B.A. (highest honors, Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Michigan and a J.D. (cum laude) from Harvard Law School. He is the author of numerous articles on business matters.
