Staffan is Managing Director of InnovationsKapital, which he founded in 1994. InnovationsKapital is an independent Nordic early stage venture firm, with capital provided by highly reputable Swedish and international investors. He has been responsible for InnovationsKapital’s investments in a number of companies, for example; Altitun (acq. by ADC), Formex (acq. by Tyco), Kreatel (acq. by Motorola), Projectplace (acq. by Planview) and Spotfire (acq. by TIBCO). Currently he represents InnKap 4 on the boards of Apptus, Emric, Kaelus AB, Oxeon and Paxport. He is also Chairman of Ernström & Co, a Swedish Family Office. Prior to founding InnKap, Staffan was a management consultant and private investor specialising in rationalising and restructuring companies and leading ‘turnarounds’ as ‘Chairman-for-hire’. His early career also includes positions such as CEO of Frico AB (leading the IPO of the company). Staffan lives in Gothenburg, Sweden and is married to Else with whom he has two grown-up children. Loves the sea, playing golf and skiing. Interested in history and reading.
