Vishakha Shembekar brings extensive experience and proven expertise in the design and utilization of analytics to explore, understand, and solve business, commercial, and technical problems. She has utilized these skills to understand the economics and investment attractiveness of conventional and unconventional resources in oil and gas; power from coal, natural gas, and renewables in particular geothermal; biofuels and bioenergy; and specialty and commodity chemicals. Further, Shembekar is an expert market research professional who has used a mix of primary and secondary research to size segments, assess technology penetration, and forecast growth outlook for the energy and chemical industries. Finally, she has evaluated and benchmarked a number of existing and emerging technologies for their technical feasibility, business potential, market risks, and commercialization challenges. Shembekar holds a PhD in organic chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and brings nearly 15 years of experience in leading companies such as Dow Chemical Company.
