Blake Ponuick Bio

Blake Ponuick is Managing Director at ACT Capital Advisors, focused primarily in Western Canada. Over the course of the past 30 years, Blake has served both private and public companies as CEO, COO, CMO, and VP Sales & Marketing. He brings a unique business-owner perspective to ACT clients, having participating in and led several strategic acquisitions, and exits of businesses he has founded or been a principal in, most recently in 2021. He has extensive experience advising companies on Mergers and Acquisitions and value creation for exit strategies, in addition to restructurings/turn-arounds, and capital raising; having raised in excess of $100 million. Blake also served as Chairman and CEO of a publicly-traded mergers and acquisition company in the electronics manufacturing industry. Blake has direct operating experience in the software/technology, telecommunications, manufacturing, Agritech, apparel, sports/recreation, food and beverage, and construction industries. He is active in the technology industry, an angel investor and advisor. Blake is dedicated to helping Canadian businesses leverage cross-border transactions, and ACT’s vast network of US buyers to achieve a successful exit.
