Peter Tenney is responsible for 1st West’s Brazilian operation in addition to serving as Senior Financial Analyst for 1st WEST Merger & Acquisitions on transactions involving customers in the U.S. and Latin America. Based in Rio de Janeiro, Peter came to Brazil with Kraft Foods in 1980 when Kraft entered a joint venture with a local dairy products company to help set up their financial and reporting functions and serve as liaison with the home office in Chicago. Peter has over 40 years of experience in various executive and advisory Corporate Finance positions with multinational and local companies in the Food Processing, Foodservice, Electrical Products, Cosmetics, Health Care and Financial Services industries. In addition, he has taught Finance and Accounting at the undergraduate and graduate levels since 2004. Fully fluent in Portuguese and Spanish as well as native English, Peter has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Spanish from Kenyon College and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Peter enjoys music and plays the trombone and sings in his church choir. He also is involved in the church’s missionary and social work.
