Bio

Bernie is heavily involved in advising TOM Capital investee entities on real estate related matters, and has extensive experience in residential and commercial property development and management. He has managed the acquisition, divestiture and financing of in excess of $1,000,000,000 of real estate and 5,000,000 square feet of retail space. His expertise includes extensive experience in retail leasing having negotiated leases with major retail players such as Walmart, Target, Kroger and Best Buy. Bernie has also been extensively involved in many residential lot development projects and has assisted with the acquisition, financing and development of in excess of 2,000 acres of land. Prior to joining TOM Capital, Bernie spent over 10 years with a very entrepreneurial real estate investment and development company located in Dallas, Texas. Before his time in Dallas Bernie practiced corporate commercial law with a prominent law firm in Edmonton. Bernie holds a Law Degree and a Masters in City Planning.
