Bio

Steve Cochran is a Technology Partner at Thoma Bravo. He has more than 30 years of experience leading technology transformation and operational excellence at companies such as Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX), OpenText/GXS, Inovis, Adaptec, Real3D, Lockheed Martin and General Electric. Steve most recently was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at GHX, a former Thoma Bravo portfolio company subsequently sold to Temasek. During his tenure at GHX, he created the strategy, architected, led development and migrated the company's core asset and customers to the AWS public cloud profoundly transforming the company. At OpenText/GXS, Steve was the VP of Product Management leading the transformation of their global B2B exchange for retail and automotive markets. As CTO at Inovis, he led the transformation of their B2B exchange. Steve also led the development of the initial generations of 3D graphic controllers at Real3D and led development of products for the RAID storage industry as a division vice president at Adaptec. Steve started his career with GE/Lockheed Martin designing submarine and shipboard systems. Steve has an MBA from Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
