Bio

Stefan is responsible for ensuring LDC continues to identify and support the growth ambitions of management teams and businesses across the South West of England & Wales. This includes finding new investment opportunities and identifying management teams that would benefit from the backing of a private equity partner to help achieve their growth strategy. With over 15 years’ experience, Stefan has supported management teams initially as a corporate finance advisor and latterly as a structured finance banker and mid-market investor. Since joining LDC in 2019, he has led the investment in Cakesmiths, a manufacturer and supplier of artisan handmade cakes and supported the £13m investment in digital media agency Hybrid and the £80m deal with Plimsoll Productions. Prior to joining LDC, Stefan was a Director within NatWest’s Structured Finance business across the South of England, where he supported numerous private equity buyouts, and capital raisings for listed entities and fast growth private companies. After graduating with an MA in Economics and European Studies (German) from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and Universität Stuttgart, Stefan qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Mazars in Bristol before moving to Deloitte’s corporate finance team where he advised on mid-market private equity transactions and Main Market listings, including the IPO of Hargreaves Lansdown. He subsequently spent six years within HSBC’s Corporate and Structured Banking business in Bristol, before joining RBS Group, initially establishing RBS William & Glyn’s Structured Finance operation in the South West and latterly developing and growing NatWest’s Structured Finance team and the business across the South of England.
