Paul Smith joined Glencoe Capital in 2017. Prior to that, he was a partner in a private equity firm where his responsibilities included investment opportunity evaluation, structuring and negotiating new investments and exits, due diligence and portfolio company management. Mr. Smith has more than 25 years experience working in M&A with privately-held companies and also has a strong background in strategy consulting and corporate finance. Mr. Smith has completed more than 30 buyside transactions and has worked on several multi‐firm combinations and industry consolidations. Previously, Mr. Smith held strategy, marketing and finance positions with W.W. Grainger, Inc. and General Electric (GE Aviation). Mr. Smith received a BS Cum Laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
