María Jesús is Deputy General Director of GED Sur and responsible for the Fund’s operations in Spain. She joined GED in 2007 as responsible for GED EF II Fund’s operations in Bulgaria. She has also taken on executive responsibilities in some portfolio companies. María Jesús has 20 years of experience in the Private Equity sector. Previously she was General Director of Caja Madrid’s Private Equity company and worked in Capital Riesgo Madrid, initiating her career as an Analyst and Operating Director. María Jesús has been a member of more than 35 companies’ Board of Directors in various sectors such as aeronautics, bio, health, services, leisure and printing. She has also been a visiting professor of Finance in several institutions. María Jesús has a degree in Chemical Sciences, an MBA from the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI), a Master in Finance Management from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and a Master in Senior Hospital Management from Arthur Andersen.
