Mr. Dezio joined First Atlantic as an operating partner in 2008 after the firm sold its successful packaging platform, Captive Plastics, which he had led for a number of years. Mr. Dezio joined Captive Plastics as the president and chief operating officer in 1995, and became CEO in 2006. Previously, from 1993 to 1995, he managed seven small- to medium-sized manufacturing businesses for Leucadia National. For the preceding eight years, Mr. Dezio was president of Continental Plastic Containers, a subsidiary of Continental Can Company, until its divestiture. Over a 28-year span at Continental, he also served as vice president of manufacturing and vice president of general packaging for metal containers. Mr. Dezio holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
