Andres Obregon is a co-founder of EMX Capital. Andres co-led the evaluation and structuring of ILSP Global and AG Convertidora, and serves as Board Member of both companies. He was a Senior Associate at The Carlyle Group where he was actively involved throughout the investment process across dozens of projects. Andres was part of ULA’s deal team where he advised and monitored wide array of strategic and financial initiatives, and was member of the Operating Committee and participated in the exit. Andres is also part of Maxi Prenda’s deal team and jointly structured and executed transaction and is member of firm’s Audit and Operating Committees. Additionally, he led the investment in IHS Global and serves as Member of the Board. Prior to joining Carlyle, Andres was a technology entrepreneur. Prior to that, Mr. Obregon worked at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Mr. Obregon received his M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his B.S. in industrial engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico.
