James B. Hoover is a Principal. Prior to founding Dauphin Capital Partners in 1998, Mr. Hoover was a General Partner of Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe, (WCAS). WCAS, a management buy-out firm specializing in health care and information services businesses, has raised over $15 billion since the firm was founded in 1979. During his association with WCAS, Mr. Hoover was involved with ten private health care service company investments representing a total capital commitment of nearly $300 million. Mr. Hoover received his MBA in Finance from the Graduate School of Business at Indiana University. He holds a BS degree from Elizabethtown College (Pennsylvania).
