He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. Ned brings over 20 years of operational and investment experience, leading growth technology businesses from the C-Suite and managing venture and growth capital investments. He has successfully driven business expansion across a broad range of technology sectors including networking, collaboration, enterprise software, and service provider platforms. Prior to Centerview, Ned was Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Cisco. He drove the development of Cisco’s business vision and strategy to identify market transitions across customer segments and developed integrated strategies that leveraged all Cisco assets. As part of this role, he was responsible for business development activities including acquisitions, equity investments, and the incubation of innovative technologies. Ned led over seventy-five acquisitions that played a key role in driving Cisco’s growth strategy. Prior to joining Cisco, Ned was responsible for building and implementing a global distribution strategy for Lightspeed International, a start-up acquired by Cisco. He began his career in technology with MCI in Product Management.
