Victor is a Managing Director at CDIB Capital’s Shanghai office. He is primarily responsible for sourcing investments in China and led the execution of these investments with the Greater China team based in Shanghai and Hong Kong. In addition, Victor spearheads the operational value-add and support for Chinese operations of all portfolio companies. Prior to CDIB Capital, Victor was a Managing Director and Head of China for Greater Pacific Capital, a leading private equity firm focused on China and India. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director of Sun Capital Partners and Chairman and President of its China business. Victor also served as Chairman and President of Eaton (China) Investment Corp. for Eaton Corporation. In addition, he had responsibility for Eaton’s M&A operations in the Asia Pacific region. He also worked as Treasurer of the Chinese affiliates of both General Motors and Delphi. He also served as CFO and Board Member of UTStarcom China, a NASDAQ-listed telecom company. Victor started his career in the Chinese central government, as project manager at the Chinese Ministry of Commerce in Beijing. Victor sits on the Board of Smith-Cooper International. Victor holds an MBA and an MS in Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Harbin University of Commerce.
