Bio

Mr. John Kao is a co-founder and a partner of Canyon Bridge Capital Partners. He also serves as General Counsel for the firm. John brings more than two decades of experience in M&A and private equity transactions to the firm. An expert in handling complex and sensitive transactions, John has worked on more than 100 M&A deals in his career in a variety of industries, such as technology, energy, media, automotive, food and retail. Prior to joining Canyon Bridge, John was partner-in-charge of the Beijing Office and Asia chair of M&A for Jones Day, one of the largest international law firms where he specialized in corporate, M&A, and private equity transactions. He received his B.S. in civil engineering from Virginia Military Institute, and J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law.
