Bio

Michael co-founded Caltius Structured Capital in 1997 to provide junior capital to the underserved lower middle market. He is instrumental to the fund’s success, from fundraising to deal origination, portfolio management and strategic planning. Previously, Michael managed Building and Construction Capital Partners, L.P., a private equity fund focused on the building and construction industries, as a Managing Director at Richard C. Blum and Associates. He spent six years with the Industrial Finance Division of General Electric Capital Corporation where he originated and underwrote loans to companies across multiple sectors. Michael began his career with Metropolitan Life Insurance in its private placements group. Michael received his M.B.A., Masters in Accounting and B.A. in Economics from Rice University and is a CFA charterholder.
