Clayton Main is a Partner at Bregal Sagemount. Prior to joining Bregal Sagemount, Clayton spent twelve years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he was one of the founding team members of the Goldman Sachs Specialty Lending Group within Goldman's Special Situations Group. While at Goldman Sachs, he was responsible for originating, structuring, and managing senior debt, second lien debt, mezzanine debt, and structured equity investments on behalf of the firm's balance sheet. Clayton led the group’s business development efforts in the South and was responsible for originations in software, financial technology, data infrastructure, healthcare, and business service verticals. He graduated Magna Cum Laude, Honors in Business, with a BBA from Southern Methodist University.
