Gene Matalene joined BlackEagle in 2008 as Chief Administrative Officer responsible for the firm’s compliance efforts as well as investor relations and communications. Gene has over 25 years of investment banking and private equity experience. He began his career at Kidder, Peabody & Co. and also worked at Drexel Burnham Lambert, as well as PaineWebber Incorporated where he was Deputy Director of Investment Banking and President of PaineWebber Development, a $300 million private equity fund. For the last several years, Mr. Matalene has been Managing Partner of EOS Capital, a private investment company. Gene holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
