Charles Rothstein is founder and senior managing director of Beringea. He is responsible for all Firm activities and directly oversees Beringea’s U.S.-based Funds. Since the Firm’s founding, Charlie has served on numerous portfolio company boards and is currently a director at Floyd, Blis, UICO, Hygenica, and Detroit Institute of Music Education. Additionally, he serves as a director of the Michigan Strategic Fund and S.A.Y. Detroit. Charlie is a champion for entrepreneurial activity and economic growth in the American Midwest. He has provided expert testimony to the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and has been honored by multiple organizations for his contributions to the Michigan economy, including recognition as a Crain’s Detroit Business“40 Under 40” award winner and as a member of “The Detroit 500”, DBusiness magazine’s comprehensive list of the most powerful executives across Metro Detroit. Charlie graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.B.A. and an MBA.
