Bio

Cliff Orr joined Battle Investment Group in 2016. His efforts are focused on leading the firm’s investment activities, including investment sourcing and transaction execution, and ultimately supporting the growth, expansion and success of the firm’s portfolio companies. Cliff’s career has focused on small- and medium-sized business formation, investment and growth. His experience spans private equity and public markets, particularly enterprises with under $100 million revenue, and includes both public and private company board governance. Prior to joining Battle Investment Group, Cliff served as senior vice president with Concourse Capital Management, an Atlanta-based alternative investment firm, as managing director with JAM Capital Partners, a private investment partnership focused on Southeast-based lower middle-market operating companies, as research analyst with Privet Fund Management, an alternative investment firm, and as vice president with Timbervest, a real estate private equity firm where he ran a portfolio of federally-regulated mitigation bank and agriculture-based operating investments. Cliff began his career as a practicing attorney. Cliff earned an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a JD and BBA, both magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia. Cliff currently serves as a director of ARCTOS (www.arctos-us.com) and Waterleaf International (www.waterleafinternational.com), and as chairman of BACE (www.bacecorp.com). Cliff previously served as a director of Rand Capital Corporation (NasdaqCM:RAND, www.randcapital.com) and All Points Logistics (www.allpointsllc.com). Additionally, Cliff serves on the national board of the American Enterprise Institute Enterprise Club (www.aei.org) and as an elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta (www.firstpresatl.org). Cliff is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (inactive) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
