Steven Flyer is a Partner of AUA Private Equity Partners, LLC and is a member of AUA Equity’s Investment Committee. Prior to establishing AUA Equity (and its predecessor firm), Mr. Flyer was an investment professional and a member of the investment committee for an international family office. Previously, Mr. Flyer was a Managing Director of Trimaran Capital Partners, L.L.C., where he was responsible for sourcing, structuring, negotiating and managing private equity investments, as well as being responsible for the firm’s investor relations and overall administration and operations. Before joining Trimaran Capital Partners, Mr. Flyer was an Executive Director in the Leveraged Finance Group of CIBC World Markets Corp. responsible for overseeing CIBC’s $400 million Argosy Merchant Fund. Prior to joining CIBC World Markets Corp., Mr. Flyer practiced law at Dewey Ballantine LLP where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, securities and private financings. Mr. Flyer is currently Chairman of the Board of Raymundos Food Group and currently serves on the board of directors of Gourmet Culinary Holdings, Tijuana Flats Restaurants, Profectus Beauty, Two-Twenty Records Management and Epic Baking Company. Previously he served on the board of directors for El Pollo Loco, Consolidated Advisers, Indulge Desserts Holdings, Associated Foods Holdings and Transportation Technologies Industries. Mr. Flyer was previously an observer to the board of directors of eSchoolData. Mr. Flyer is also a mentor for AccelFoods, a food and beverage accelerator offering resources and guidance to emerging consumer companies. Mr. Flyer received his B.A. from Columbia University/Columbia College and his J.D. from Cornell Law School where he is a member of the Dean’s Special Leadership Committee and the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association. In addition, Mr. Flyer is a member of the Cornell University Council, and the Cornell University’s Food Science Advisory Council. He was formerly Chairman of Cornell University’s Alumni Trustee Nominating Committee, Vice Chairman of Task Force Committee on Alumni Trustee Elections, Chairman of Nominating Committee for Cornell Alumni Advisory Board. Mr. Flyer is a guest lecturer at Cornell University’s S.C. Johnson College of Business. Mr. Flyer is also an adjunct professor at Cornell Law School where he teaches courses on private equity transactions and mergers & acquisitions.
