Founder and director of Antea. In 1992, he developed the unique formula of a private equity firm for small and medium-sized enterprises within Staal Bankiers, where the capital is brought together by Informal Investors and from that moment on the management of Staal Participaties. In 1986 he graduated cum laude in Economics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He then worked as an Investment analyst at Nationale-Nederlanden and in 1987 switched to Staal Bankiers, where he worked until March 1999 on mergers, acquisitions and participations. Realized a Management Buy-Out in March 1999, in which the participation funds were privatized, which led to the founding of Antea. Has been a regular columnist in the Quote since 2014.
