Bio

Matt co-founded AIM in 2006 and has nearly 30 years of experience in private equity and corporate finance. He has sourced, managed, and/or executed more than 90 transactions worth over $10 billion. Prior to joining AIM, he founded and led Wit Capital Group’s West Coast operations growth to more than 100 employees and was responsible for building and managing the firm’s investment banking operations. He was a member of its Executive, Management, and Commitment Committees. Earlier, Mr. Carbone worked in the investment banking divisions of Morgan Stanley, the First Boston Corporation and Smith Barney. Matt currently serves on the Boards for Landmark Infrastructure Partners, LP (Chairman), Landmark Dividend LLC (Chairman), Tunnel Hill Partners and Arrow Material Services. Former Boards include, Oxford Resource Partners, Nordic Cold Storage, American Midstream Partners, Petropoint Energy Partners and Inspire Communities. A past President of the Board of San Francisco General Hospital Foundation, Matt is also a Trustee for the Paul P. Carbone, M.D. Memorial Foundation, benefitting the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center. His previous non-profit involvement has included serving as Treasurer for FIRESafe Marin, Finance Board Chairman for Saint Boniface Parish, and as a member of the Guardsmen, a San Francisco charity serving the city’s underprivileged youth.
